Prof. Folio · The Librarian
Prof. Folio's library has shelves to the ceiling, a rolling ladder and an arched window that fills the afternoon with dust and gold. The shelves open the Library, every article on the site sorted by field; the lectern opens the project guides; the card catalogue opens the faculty.
Every calculator on PhDino has an article: what the formula is, where it comes from, what each input means and where the simple version stops being enough. Where a page has a worked example, every number in it comes from a real run of the calculator, and the project guides chain several calculators in the order a real job needs them.
The sign under the window is the Librarian's whole philosophy: there is always a next page.
“Where a page has a worked example, read it first: every number in it comes from a real run of the calculator.” — Prof. Folio
