Type a function of x, such as sin(x)/x or x^3 - 3x, choose the range, and the graph is drawn as you type. Point at it to read off x and f(x). Where the function has no real value the curve has a gap, and steep jumps such as those of tan(x) are left open rather than joined across.
The formula is read by a small parser written for this page and is never run as code. It knows + − * / ^, brackets, pi and e, and the usual functions: sin, cos and tan with their inverses and hyperbolic forms, sqrt, abs, exp, ln, log, floor and ceil.
Type a function of x with + − * / ^ and brackets; 2x means 2 × x. Also pi, e and sin cos tan asin acos atan sinh cosh tanh sqrt abs exp ln log floor ceil (angles in radians; log is base 10, ln natural). Number fields take pi/2 too.
